  • What happens if I don’t receive my purchase? Once your order is placed, you will receive a tracking number for your shipment. If you have difficulties locating your package, please email us at sales@thejanushouse.com.
  • What happens if my art arrives damaged? Please retain all packaging and email us immediately at sales@thejanushouse.com.
  • Do you accept returns? If you are not completely happy with your purchase, you have seven days from receiving the item to return it for a full refund (minus the cost of return shipping). To return an item, please email sales@thejanushouse.com for return instructions.
  • Do you offer a trade discount? Yes, we are happy to work with members of the design trade. Please email us at sales@thejanushouse.com to set up a trade account.
  • Why are some pieces framed with acrylic rather than glass? Since most items in the gallery are shipped, we typically use acrylic because it is lighter and more break-resistant than glass. We use high-quality acrylic that is virtually indistinguishable from glass. If you prefer glass, simply take your piece to a local framer and have the acrylic replaced with glass.
  • What is mid-century modern? Mid-century modern is a large stylistic category encompassing the architecture, interior design, furniture design and art of the middle of the 20th The Janus House primarily deals in art created during this period.   • Do you charge sales tax? Texas residents will be charged sales tax on their purchase. For tax-exempt purchases, a Texas resale tax certificate must be presented prior to purchase.
